Érdekes, én a sprirituális útkeresésemben is pont azt az attitűdöt valósítom meg, amit a számítástudomány megismerésében: nem értek hozzá, de nézzük meg, mi van, ha ez igaz. Vizsgálom az ügyet, előbb-utóbb kialakul róla a véleményem a tapasztalatok alapján.
De bármikor hajlandó vagyok módosítani a nézőpontomat, ha meggyőznek az ellenkezőjéről, például rámutatnak egy ellenpéldával, hogy ez vagy az nem igaz.

Egyes emberek azt mondják, ők azt gondolják, amit már 20 éve is, ők nem köpönyegforgatók.
Sajnálom ezeket az embereket, ők legalább 20 éve halottak, csak mozog a testük. Szerintem pont azért kaptunk (adtunk magunknak, ez most mindegy) észt, hogy egy állandó evolúcióban fejlődjenek a fogalmaink a világról. A hit bizonyos esetben ennek gátja lehet.
A kérdéskörről itt egy nagyon értelmes vélemény a Pszichedelikus Sámánizmus c. könyvből:

“Ideally, a working hypothesis has built within it a potential for modification, even continuous modification. Beliefs, on the other hand, tend to be problematic precisely because they are usually fixed and resistant to self-correction. A hypothesis assumes that we don’t know, but are trying to learn. A belief insists on the comforting illusions of certitude. In other words, to be able to stay profitably engaged with the Mystery, “The Adept must be ready for the utter destruction of his point of view on any subject, and even that of his innate conception of the forms and laws of thought.”

The best catalyst I know of for training the ego to be comfortable with this point of view is DMT, the Shamanic drug par excellence.”
